It smells like lemonade, thats the first thing I noticed as I poured it into my glass. It actually looks like lemonade with a head, which is pretty bizarre. You guys tired of the lemonade motif yet? I was sure getting there.
For a lemon soda/beer this stuff has very little carbonation to it. The lemon is (surprise!) overwhelming in the overall flavor but it still doesn't make for a bad drink. You would be hard pressed drinking more than one of these, but I don't think thats the point of this Frankenstein's Monster.
In fact when you take an already mild beer like Stiegl and water it down even more you get an extremely tame drink. Too tame for me, its kind of girly to tell you the truth. I was expecting this to be much more bitter than it ended up being and I am not really sure why. Its light, whimsical even. A definitive summer beverage that I have trouble calling a beer. It was a cute idea, Just not something I will ever feel the need to drink again. That being said, it sure as hell could have been a lot worse.
